imgChina : Hainan ASP PACS Pilot Project Launch
The result of a collaborative project between key stakeholders Hainan Province People Hospital, GE Healthcare IITS, EMC, Intel and Cisco took off in a rousing ceremony at the Hainan Local HIT Annual Seminar recently. The Hainan ASP PACS project makes use of an application service provider to link Hainan Province People Hospital, Nongkeng Hospital and Sanya People Hospital collectively on a single platform, allowing the hospitals to run a complete PACS/RIS workflow without any local server.

GE Healthcare’s Dynamic Imaging Solutions ranks number one for seventh consecutive quarter in MD Buyline PACS report. December 2007 marks the grand opening of the Asia EHR R&D Center in Seoul, Korea. This new engineering Center of Excellence will initially focus on EHR product development for Korea, SEA and China markets, delivering state-of-the-art healthcare IT solutions and significant clinical benefits to GE Healthcare customers starting 2008.

imgMalaysia : Hospital Ampang Goes Live With GE Centricity EHR
Following the successful deployment of GE Centricity PACS and Centricity MUSE, the 8-storey 562-bed Hospital Ampang, which is located in the affluent suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has since gone live with its new GE Centricity Electronic Health Record (EHR) as of 16th February 2008. Hospital Ampang, which was commissioned in May 2006, provides second-degree treatment for residents in the Ampang and its surrounding areas as well as those living in Klang Valley, as well as third-degree treatment for Endocrinology and Respiratory. It is also a specialist hospital and provides services in fields such as gynaecology, dermatology and haematology for referral cases. This marks Malaysia's third all digital hospital environment or THIS (Total Hospital Information System) that is powered totally by GE Healthcare IT solutions.


img Hong Kong : Opening Ceremony of Ambulatory Surgery Centre Tseung Kwan O Hospital
The Ambulatory Surgery Centre of Tseung Kwan O Hospital was officially opened on 3rd March 2008, signifying the enhancement of ambulatory surgery service within the hospital that is in line with the Hospital Authority’s planned responses to increasing service demand. The Centre provides a one-stop service including pre-anaesthetic assessment, post-operative care and discharge patient support, minimizing the length of hospital stay and relieving the pressure on in-patient beds.
