Held in Seoul from Oct 24th-27th 2008, the Asian Oceania Congress of Radiology (AOCR) was an astounding success! With an overwhelming 2500 attending delegates ranging from hospital radiologists, physicians and clinicians to medical professors from across Asia, it was a great show indeed for GE Healthcare, which showcased exciting solution demonstrations on Centricity® PACS IW. Besides excellent booth traffic and great feedback, GE Healthcare also enjoyed great press & media attention, with HCIT President & CEO Vishal Wanchoo, and VP & GM of Asia HCIT Clarence Wu, being in the constant media limelight.

The Chinese Hospital Information Network Conference (CHIMA) 2008 was held successfully in Nanning, Guangxi Province from 26th - 28th September 2008. National leadership from the Chinese Ministry of Health, hospital associations and local experts attended the GE-sponsored conference, which drew a turnout of more than a thousand foreign and regional Chinese delegates.

The second India Early Health Media Summit held in Bangalore from 25th–26th September 2008 was a resounding success! 55 Journalists from leading publications throughout India, Sri Lanka and Colombo actively participated in the two day Summit, which included a visit to the healthcare Labs at GE John F Welch Research Centre and GE Healthcare X-Ray manufacturing facility. The Summit served to showcase GE's focus & commitment to India while demonstrating some the tools that can help change the way diseases are detected in the future.

GE Healthcare kicked off its participation in the 2008 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago with an “Early Health” direction. More than 60,000 global healthcare thought leaders were privy to the latest I³ solution for the Japanese market as well as the upcoming integration of AW Suite applications with GE Healthcare's Web-based PACS. In developing technology that enable healthcare providers to research, treat, monitor and share critical information for a variety of diseases and medical conditions, GE Healthcare is doing its part to help healthcare providers worldwide transform their healthcare delivery model to better cope with today's demand.
