 China: CHIMA 2008 WOWS Chinese Customers
The Chinese Hospital Information Network Conference (CHIMA) 2008 was held successfully in Nanning, Guangxi Province from 26th - 28th September 2008. National leadership from the Chinese Ministry of Health, hospital associations and local experts attended the GE-sponsored conference, which drew a turnout of more than a thousand foreign and regional Chinese delegates.

 India: Second early health media summit held in Bangalore, India
The second India Early Health Media Summit held in Bangalore from 25th–26th September 2008 was a resounding success! 55 Journalists from leading publications throughout India, Sri Lanka and Colombo actively participated in the two day Summit, which included a visit to the healthcare Labs at GE John F Welch Research Centre and GE Healthcare X-Ray manufacturing facility. The Summit served to showcase GE's focus & commitment to India while demonstrating some the tools that can help change the way diseases are detected in the future.

 China: GE Healthcare IT WOWS at CISCO’s network imagination roadshow
Over 50 leading professionals from CIOs and the HIT directors of 10 leading hospitals in Changsha City, Hu Nan Province, thronged the Network Imagination Road Show, the last stage of Cisco’s nation-wide marketing event on 28th November 2008. Zhu Haizhou, GE HCIT Marketing Manager of Greater China, was on hand to present numerous cases of successful cooperation GE HCIT and Cisco. He also touched on GE HCIT’s global vision and capabilities in localization as well as GE HCIT service excellence approach at the centre of care, which will be crucial to GE HCIT and Cisco’s foray into the Hu Nan HCIT market next year.

 Malaysia: GE Centricity® PACS-IW launches in Penang, Malaysia
The successful launch of Centricity® PACS-IW in Penang on 16th October 2008 marks the start of a new beginning with the Centricity® portfolio in Malaysia. Together with technology partners Barco and Intel, GE Healthcare delivered the benefits of Centricity® PACS-IW solutions to a crowd of more than 54 professionals from government hospitals such as the Penang and Ipoh General Hospitals; and private establishments: Island Hospital, Adventist Hospital & Mount Miriam as well as Academic Centers such as Universiti Sains Malaysi, to resounding positive feedback!

 Singapore: GE Healthcare at Singtel Illumnate Business Innovation Forum
Singtel is not only the single largest telecom company in Singapore but also GE Healthcare IT’s strategic partner. As such, GE Healthcare IT was invited to showcase the Centricity® PACS-IW as part of the Healthcare thrust of the event. In total, there were more than 2,000 participants at the two-day event, with the GE Healthcare IT booth fully packed with interested participants. Additionally, the CIO and CMIO of Intermountain Healthcare, Marc Probst and Dr Stanley Huff, were on hand to share with the audience the clinical models and applications which give Intermountain a leading edge in the healthcare arena. |

 China: GE Healthcare at the 8th Macau Radiology association, annual scientific meeting in Macau
GE Healthcare Hong Kong has successfully participated in the 8th Macau Radiology Association Annual Scientific Meeting at the Macau Wharf Convention Centre, where Ms. Ong Bee Teng, a luminary speaker from Singapore and senior manager of the Information Technology Division at the National Healthcare Group, was on hand to share best practices on Singapore’s successful Telerad PACS solution. Other prominent speakers at the conference included Dr CP Wong and Professor Lee Chau Chin from Taiwan. All invited guest speakers are adopters of GE Centricity® PACS solutions within their hospital environment.

 Australia: GE Healthcare at HIC and Health e-Nation 2008
GE Healthcare IT participated in two annual conferences and a Joint Industry Exhibition in Melbourne during September 2008 – HIC 2008 (presented by HISA) and Health-e-Nation (Presented by CHIK Services). The Joint Industry Exhibition spanned both events and GE Healthcare IT took the chance to demonstrate its portfolio of Centricity® Enterprise, Centricity® Perinatal/Critical Care, Centricity® Cardiology/Xi2 and Centricity® RIS/PACS solutions to eager participants.
