In an interview, Prof. Gee Young Suh M.D., Director of Intensive Care Unit at Samsung Medical Center Seoul had this to say of GE's EMR system, "There are quite a few reasons why we chose GE for our ICU EMR. First, not only GE is a global enterprise, with its world-renowned name value and company history, but also GE has been accumulating know-hows, expertise and technologies on the EMR system for more than several years".
"Furthermore, GE has a domestic R&D center, here in Korea, which helps them to develop customized solutions for Korean hospitals and this will be a solid foundation to export our technologies & systems that were developed by the local talent pool, to overseas. All of these aspects, we figured, would help both our hospital and the company to propel further growth in the future," Prof. Gee concludes.
