GE Healthcare IT and Microsoft Business Solutions partner to deliver Healthcare IT Adminstration Solutions
GE Healthcare IT and Microsoft Corp. recently announced that both companies have entered into an independent software vendor (ISV) alliance agreement to provide customers with enhanced healthcare IT administration capabilities that support GE's Centricity Enterprise healthcare IT solution, currently in use by many leading hospitals worldwide. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 will be the foundation for billing, accounting, human resources, and materials management applications that integrate with the clinical, patient administration, and financial capabilities in Centricity Enterprise. GE Healthcare presents Centricity Enterprise archive as Application-Neutral Image Repository
GE Healthcare recently presented Centricity Enterprise Archive as a platform for application-neutral image management. The standards-based archive helps manage patient and image data over time and image-enable electronic medical records (EMR). By leveraging both healthcare information exchange (HIE) and information technology standards and protocols, such as IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) and HL7, Centricity Enterprise Archive seeks to optimize image and patient data management regardless of specific clinical solution or image source. With the added functionality of an integrated web-based enterprise viewer, Centricity Enterprise Archive further provides clinicians and referring physicians with a fast clinical viewer from the EMR. The result is the potential for patient information at the point-of-care, or wherever it is needed throughout the enterprise to help clinicians to more-confidently make critical diagnostic decisions.
